How to get the Sims 2 plus all expansions for free

Psst, hey buddy, want to get the Sims 2 plus all it’s expansion for free? Get off BitTorrent you filthy, filthy pirate. There’s a legit way to do it.

EA is officially ending their support for the popular 10 year old game. So in good spirit, they’re giving away copies of the Ultimate Collection on Origin until July 31st. That includes the base game plus every single one of its expansions. Everything from Night Life to Ikea furniture. Seeing the game sold over 100 million copies, there’s probably not a lot who haven’t already played it. Though what better excuse to jump on the bandwagon if it’s free.

To grab your copy, log on to origin (or create an account),  click the “Origin” menu, and select “Redeem Product Code.”

Type in I-LOVE-THE-SIMS  and you’re good to go.

The entire download weighs in at a hefty 12GB, which is quite big for a game of that era. I suppose all those expansions really did add something.
