Valkyria Chronicles gets PC release
Valkyria Chronicles, one of the best strategy games to grace the PlayStation 3, is finally coming to PC.
Sega confirmed yesterday via Twitter that the game is coming to Steam on November 11th, for the low, low price of $20. That gets you all DLC as well. If you pre-order, you get 10% off.
Valkyria Chronicles was a cult hit back when it launched in 2008. Set in an alternate reality Europe in the 1930s, a group of friends bands together to defend their homeland Gallia from invading armies. It’s serious subject matter is backdropped against hand-drawn watercolour graphics.
Disc based copies of the game are pretty rare these days, and it was never released on PSN. So it’s great to see Sega giving this classic another treatment. If there’s one thing they still do well, it’s strategy games. Especially on the PC.
