Bravely Default is one of the best JRPGs I’ve seen in a long time. If you haven’t had a chance to play it, you can now get it for free. That’s assuming you live in Japan.
Square Enix is giving away a massive demo on the 3DS eShop starting July 28th. Japanese gamers will be able to play the first four chapters for free. That’s half the game right there, which is pretty unprecedented for a demo. According to Destructiod, the only string attached seems to be a lack of voice acting. However, you can purchase the complete game for just 2,000 Yen ($21).
It’s odd timing considering the game has been out for some time. Though it may be a way to expose more people to the series before the sequel, Bravely Second, comes out. Still, it’s not a bad deal if you just happen to be in Japan. Especially if you’re a fan of classic Final Fantasy games.
There’s no word on whether the same offer will be extended to North American gamers.
