Some very good news for Xbox fans today. Microsoft has officially confirmed that the Xbox One will launch on Friday November 22nd, 2013. As we heard before, it will be available in 13 countries including the UK, US, and Canada.
Microsoft has stated that the Xbox One is already in full production and will launch on time. The new launch date gives them a slight advantage over the PS4, which will not release in Europe or Australia until the 29th. However, Sony’s next console will be available a week prior in North America. As we learned several months back, it will retail for $500 and come bundles with the Kinect.
In order to address concerns that the Xbox One isn’t as powerful as the PS4, Microsoft also confirmed this week that the CPU has been bumped up to 1.75ghz.
